Celebrating Eid Mubarak or "Hari Raya"

All of muslim around the world will celebrate Eid Mubarak or "Hari Raya" on early October. I would like to wish them Happy Eid Mubarak or "Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri"... For our international friends from other countries... maybe you can share with us how are you celebrating Eid Mubarak there. Just want to know other ways of life.

In our country, around Eid is a very busy time... because all housemaids went home.

In Iran,after praying we have just a short family visiting without any gifts!In addition, we have just one day off for this eid.

ok homa... it's quite similar with Malaysian... we also visit our relatives however women will spend more time on cooking dishes... such as "rendang", "ketupat" etc. maybe you can try the dishes later.

I've heard here,during these days,women made some cookies. In iran we have no any special dish. It seems malaysian really enjoy this eid.
An other thing, everybody ask me'where do you celebrate "hari raya?" it surprise for me! of course here, but I don't know what I have to do!

Eid special dish in Indonesia, well... it depends on the area I guess. The logo is still ketupat, but it's difficult to find real ketupat in an Indo house now.

My favourite dish during Eid? Hm... how about Big Mac?

Date: 29 Oct 2008 (Wednesday)
Time: 12.00-1.30 noon
Venue: Seminar Room (next to dean's office)
Invite: All postgraduate students and lecturers who teach us..

Latest Confirm.... we will celebrate Eid Mubarak or "Hari Raya" for postgraduate students:

Date: 29 Oct 2008 (Wednesday)
Time: 10.00-12.oo noon
Venue: Dewan Jamuan, Administration building.

Invite: All postgraduate students and lecturers who teach us....

Actually tomorrow we will have Education's Day, for our faculty, and all students including undergraduate are invited.
